Medium-Chain Triglycerides (MCT)

Rapidly absorbed fatty acids from coconut or palm oil that provide clean cellular energy and ketone support.

What it is

Medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) are lipids composed of glycerol esterified with medium-chain fatty acids containing 6 to 12 carbon atoms, primarily caprylic (C8) and capric (C10) acids. Commercially fractionated from coconut or palm kernel oil, MCTs are available as liquid oils or spray-dried powders. Unlike long-chain fats, MCTs are rapidly hydrolyzed in the gut lumen and directly absorbed into the portal vein for immediate hepatic beta-oxidation.

Live probiotics metabolize dietary fibers into short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), lowering intestinal pH and promoting a healthy mucosal architecture. A robust epithelial lining prevents unesterified medium-chain fatty acids from causing local mucosal irritation or osmotic fluid shifts.
